Summary
find() is the first method most people learn in MongoDB, and the one most often used at only a fraction of its capability. This tutorial, published on DataCamp, works through the method end to end: filtering, projection, sorting, pagination, cursors, and the index behavior that decides whether a query scans the collection or walks an index.
All examples run against the sample_mflix dataset available in MongoDB Atlas, so every query can be reproduced without building a corpus first. The tutorial is aimed at beginners and at people coming from SQL, and it maps each MongoDB construct back to its SQL equivalent throughout.

What the tutorial covers
The anatomy of find(). The method takes a query document, an optional projection, and options. Understanding those three parameters as separate concerns — which documents, which fields, how they come back — is what makes the rest of the API predictable.

Comparison and logical operators. $eq, $ne, $gt, $gte, $lt, $lte, $in, and $nin for values; $and, $or, $nor, and $not for composition. The tutorial also covers dot notation for querying nested fields, which is where most SQL-to-MongoDB translations first get uncomfortable.
Projection rules. Inclusion and exclusion cannot be mixed in the same projection, with the single exception of _id. The tutorial shows the error MongoDB returns when you try, which is more useful than the rule stated in the abstract.
Sorting, limiting, and skipping. sort(), limit(), and skip() compose into pagination, including the standard skip = (page - 1) * pageSize formula and its cost at high page numbers.
Cursors. find() does not return documents; it returns a cursor. The tutorial covers iteration, converting a cursor to an array, and the advanced options that matter in production: maxTimeMS(), hint(), and batchSize().
Indexes and explain(). A before-and-after comparison of the same query with and without an index, reading the execution plan to tell a COLLSCAN from an IXSCAN. This is the section that turns find() from a syntax exercise into a performance topic.
